Naledi means ‘a shining star’ and the members strive to be a ray of hope for such families.

Thulani Shongwe, Mr S Mabaso, Nhlanhla Vilakazi and Thandi Sikhakhane with the grocery items.

The project was formed in 2018. With the help of male nurse Mr S Mabaso, this family residing in an area beyond Kwezi, was identified.

The home, being inaccessible by car, meant that Naledi Self Sufficient Project members walked to the home to bless the family with groceries. The Mhlongo family of five was touched and brought to tears by this heart-warming and generous donation.

This was nothing short of a Christmas miracle for them and when passing thanks, tears fell from the Naledi Self Sufficient Project members’ eyes. This year the project hopes to adopt the family and if you would like to offer help, please contact the Estcourt News on 036-352-5597.
