4. Sizathina High School learner Mbusiseni Khubeka, besides scoring seven distinctions in his matric examinations, was the top performing physical sciences learner in KZN. He was congratulated by the MEC Seznzo Mchunu and Premier Dr Zweli Mkhize.

5. Former Estcourt resident Gavin Kruis finished third in the Champ of Champs Hotrod Challenge in Richards Bay.
