Five fatalities reported in N11 collision
Multiple lives have been lost in a fatal collision on the N11.
Five people lost their lives on a horror collision on the N11 near Ingagane earlier today.
A bakkie and car are said to have collided, however at this stage it is unclear what caused the collision. Four people reportedly died at the scene while another occupant is said to have died shortly after arriving at hospital.
Two patients are in hospital with serious injuries.
The N11 has been closed near to traffic and motorists are advised to use the Chelmsford route out of Newcastle. However, they are urged to proceed with caution after a truck jackknifed on the alternative route.
