Members of the Memorable Order of Tin Hats (MOTH) from the district and beyond gathered at Rorke’s Drift on Sunday. Since 1979, the centenary of the Anglo-Zulu War is commemorated on the nearest Sunday to the anniversary of the battle (January 22, 1879), to pay respects to the British and Zulu soldiers who died there. The recent parade was again hosted by Freedom Shellhole and attracted Moth members from the Northern KwaZulu-Natal area, Durban and the Free State.
Members laid wreaths, while Dougie MacMaster from Ladysmith played the bagpipes.
