The R33 road towards Paulpietersburg is closed due to a protest
The R33 towards Paulpietersburg is closed off to traffic, due to a protest by the local community regarding service delivery.
Tyres are reportedly burning on the roadway and vehicles are being stoned.
Members of SAPS have asked all travellers to avoid the area and to make use of an alternative route.
The only alternative route at this stage is the Lüneburg – Braunschweig road, which allows motorists to pass Paulpietersburg safely.
