On January 28, Kwazulu Private Ambulance Service in Vryheid and Ulundi responded to a multiple vehicle collision on the R34 at Zulu Rock.
Three bakkies were found to have collided, one of which overturned and plunged off the road.
Six patients were stabilised at the scene and sustained injuries ranging from minor to severe, before being transported to various hospitals for further care.
Last Thursday afternoon at 4.30pm, a vehicle crashed into a wall on the corner of Hlobane and President Streets, after allegedly attempting to avoid another vehicle which had stopped.
The patient sustained minor injuries and refused any medical care. Later that night, at around 8.45pm, the ambulance service responded to a collision on the R34 Melmoth road between two trucks, one of which was stationary at the time of the collision.
One person was killed and another sustained critical injuries, and was stabilised on scene before being transported to hospital.
