#SiegeofLadysmith2020 – Most roads now open in Ladysmith

Taxis are still not operating at all today (March 11) and employers should expect a low staff turnout due to the protest action.

We can also confirm that no water is being pumped at the Ezakeni pump station, and parts of Ladysmith and Ezakheni are battling without water. Messages circulated on social media on Monday morning (March 9) of alleged water poisoning at the Ezakheni Water Works. We are still waiting for the results from uThukela.

The R103 at Roosboom is open, but Driefontein is blocked off. Other roads and routes are safe to use for now. We will keep you updated.

Police and Public Safety are monitoring the situation.
