DHS is known for its #smallschoolbigheart motto and recently, a few of the teachers were awarded trophies for their outstanding passion and hard work in recent years.
On March 6 and 7, the Endumeni/ Nquthu Circuit and the Umzinyathi District Department of Education held respective awards ceremonies, based on the statistics of the 2019 National Senior Certificate exam results.
At the circuit awards, Dundee High was rewarded for its overall pass rate, plus having the highest number of bachelor passes and the high number of passes at the school. Two teachers, Mr B Smith (Mechanical Technology) and Mrs C Meintjes (Consumer Studies) were awarded certificates for outstanding results.
At the district awards, two of DHS’s teachers – Mr Haschke (Physical Sciences) and Mrs IP Haschke (Mathematics) received awards for being the best performing teachers in their respective subjects.
At both functions, Monique Arends was once again rewarded for being the top female learner in the district. Dundee High is proud of her and wishes her well in her studies at the University of Cape Town.
Knapgedaan, Hayley!
