Couple makes difficult decision about wedding plans
"This is a very unfortunate situation"

Pran Reddi (30) and Kamishka Kanai (26) have had to do the inevitable. The couple have postponed their April wedding.
This came after President Cyril Ramaphosa announced on Monday evening that the entire country would be undergoing a 21-day lockdown, which forbids large gatherings and close contact with people.
“It is very disappointing, as we were all looking forward to the wedding,” said Ms Kanai.
Prior to the president’s call for a complete lockdown, the couple had drastically down-sized their guest list to accommodate 100 people for the pre-wedding rituals and the wedding itself.

Monday evening’s announcement has now turned their lives around.
“There was no way we could have the wedding with the planned 100 people, so our last option was to postpone it to a future date,” explained Ms Kanai.
After consulting with service providers, they have their eye on a date in December, but have to confirm before a final date is set.
The disappointment is audible in Ms Kanai’s voice as she explains the next steps.
“This is a very unfortunate situation. Once the date has been finalised, everyone who was initially invited to the wedding will be included.”
