Forderville cemetery slipping into a state of neglect

"The whole area smells rotten and the dumping has blocked the road"

Illegal dumping and irregular maintenance at the Forderville cemetery has left a resident “very sad”.

Household waste is being continuously dumped at the entrance to the cemetery in Dahlia Road and to make matters worse, the resident says the long grass provides the perfect cover for criminals.

“The grass on both sides of the entrance is very long and people are getting robbed. I called the municipality a few times, but got no response,” said the resident.

The mounting heaps of illegally-dumped waste is also concerning.

“The whole area smells rotten and the dumping has blocked the road,” added the resident.
