Man shot dead at tuck shop in Umbulwane area, Ladysmith

Police recovered 9mm pistol cartridges that were lying on the ground

A man was brutally gunned down at a tuck shop in the Umbulwane area recently.

According to SAPS spokesperson Captain Bongani Nyathi, at about 7pm on Wednesday, June 24, police officers were summoned to Nhlapho Tuck Shop in the Umbulwane area.

On arrival, the officers were informed by a community member that a 38-year-old man had been shot and killed inside the tuck shop. Police recovered 9mm pistol cartridges that were lying on the ground.

Ladysmith police are investigating a case of murder.
