Salvation Army veteran passes away (headline)

Brig Luhlongwane was one of the few officers in the Salvation Army who was alive for both the first and second World Wars.

Brig Saziso Lizah Luhlongwane passed away at the age of 110 last week.
Brig Luhlongwane was the oldest Salvation Army officer in the Southern Africa Territory. She served in nine appointments, together with her husband, while at Mpondomesi Ridge Corps in 1953.

Her most enjoyable appointment was at Ombimbini Corps in the Northern KZN Division, where she served for seven years and was privileged to be part of a new Corps Hall and Quarters built there.
