uThukela officials test positive for Covid-19
All contacts will be traced and referred for screening

Two officials working for uThukela District Municipality have tested positive for the coronavirus (Covid-19).
Acting Municipal Manager Mr Khoza has issued a statement saying, “uThukela District would like to confirm that two municipal employees have tested positive for Covid-19. All health and safety protocols have been conducted, including the decontamination of the building.
“Decontamination of the Bergville Water Plant is planned for today (July 22).
“All contacts will be traced and referred for screening.”
People are urged to keep safe during this time and follow all safety precautions such as wearing a face mask, adhering to social distancing, and washing their hands with soap and water or an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.

These measures will help to prevent the spread of the virus.
