SAPS are continuing to man roadblocks in the area to ensure the lockdown regulations, as the National Disaster Act,  are adhered to.

SAPS, the Road Traffic Inspectorate, RTI, the SANDF and Traffic Officers combined to man a roadblock on the R23 over two days last week which yielded one arrest for the possession of dagga and nine traffic offences.

Officers also conducted stop and search operations in town which saw alcohol being confiscated and 19 other arrests made for minor offences.
