Mandela Day is commemorated on July 18 and a global call is made for all citizens to give up 67 minutes of their time to do good.

This year, Mandela Day was celebrated a little differently due to the Covid-19 lockdown restrictions.

Large gatherings to distribute food parcels are forbidden and due to this, the Democratic Alliance (DA) went to the people.

DA Chief Whip Ugan Chetty visited residents in Forderville and he did not arrive empty-handed.

Fresh produce and food parcels were distributed to residents, who were truly appreciative.
