Bodies of two men found in vacant plot in central Dundee

One of the men was partially naked

The bodies of two men were found in a vacant plot this morning adjacent to Dundee Primary School on Smith Street.

It appeared as if both men had been murdered elsewhere and dumped among the rubble and litter that covers the plot.

SAPS Forensic Services are currently combing the area which has been cordoned off.

Witnesses told the Courier that one of the men lived nearby.

Eugene Mahlaba, who found the bodies this morning, told the Courier that he called the SAPS. Mr Mahlaba, who works at Umzinyathi District Municipality, and is known for his community clean up campaigns (last year he cleaned up this plot with a group of volunteers) said one of the was partially naked when he made the discovery.
