Protesters block Dundee/Pomeroy road

Motorists are advised to use alternative routes

The R33 between Dundee and Pomeroy is closed this morning by protesters demonstrating against what they say is a lack of basic service delivery in the area. They say they do not have access to potable water or electricity.

The group gathered from beyond sunrise near the Elandskraal turn off to drag branches and other obstacles across the road.

SAPS are on the scene. Motorists are advised to use an alternative route when wanting to access Greytown and/or Msinga.
