DUNDEE: Bail for guard accused of shooting Congo national

Strict bail conditions were imposed

The man accused of the shooting and killing of Congo national, Marko Moke, has been granted R2000 bail.

Kholwa Madolo (32), a security guard, appeared before Magistrate Mgwabe with Prosecutor Mkhwanazi representing the State. Melo Shabangu appeared for Mr Madolo.

Mr Madolo is accused to shooting Mr Moke following an altercation last Saturday night, August 29, at a flat on Smith Street.

He pleaded not guilty. Mr Shabangu told the Court that Mr Madolo is a breadwinner of the family who has no previous convictions. The State did not oppose bail which was set at R2000 with strict conditions.

Mr Madolo is not to leave the Dundee Magisterial area, interfere with witnesses and report to the Dundee Police Station. He is to appear again on October 27.
