DUNDEE: VIDEO – burning tyres barricade Commercial Road

A pall of black smoke hangs over the area

The Fire Brigade is at the scene of the Commercial Road protest where the road has been blocked by burning tyres by irate Forestdale residents. It is understood that the protest is housing related.

Motorists are queuing up to access the Avon Industrial area and Pomeroy road (R33). Traffic police have advised motorists to drive to Sibongile and access the R33 by turning left at the park, at the entrance to Sibongile, and on to Newton Road via the gravel road.
