Burglaries are also on the increase, say SAPS. In Lindelani, a home was burgled after entry was gained by breaking a window. Clothing, groceries and tools to the value of R6000 were taken.

Tools, a laptop and other goods valued at R49,000 were taken when a home was broken into in Tom Worthington Drive. Jewellery, a laptop, PlayStation, cameras and a TV were stolen when thieves entered a Smith Street house on Sunday.

Police are appealing to the public to please report to their nearest police station if they have any information regarding stolen property. A

nybody caught buying or selling stolen property will also be charged and face prosecution. There were also reports of a break in at a home on Gladstone Street while the elderly occupants were inside. Two men made off with various items and also damaged a vehicle after forcing open the electric security gate.
