DUNDEE: Two shocking murders leave community reeling

SAPS have asked anyone with information regarding both murders to come forward

Two separate and brutal murders are being investigated by the Dundee SAPS.

Nkosinathi Thokozane Buthelezi was gunned down in Craigside on Saturday evening after two men had lured him out of his house on the pretext of asking him to assist them with their vehicle.

SAPS said the men knocked on the door at about 10.30pm while Mr Buthelezi was asleep. Relatives were asked by the men to wake him up as they needed his assistance.

When he accompanied the men to the car, several shots were fired that killed Mr Buthelezi instantly. The men fled in their car. Motive for the killing is not known anybody with information is asked to contact the Dundee SAPS.

In the second incident, the badly burned body of a woman was found early on Sunday morning in a ditch near Sibongile. She is judged to be between 25 – 30 years but because of the nature of her injuries, has not yet been identified.

Anyone who can assist SAPS with their investigation is asked to contact their nearest police station.
