DUNDEE: Final farewell to much-loved George Adalis

Musician, Lucky Mathambo, paid musical tribute

Family and friends said a heart wrenching farewell today to much-loved George Adalis who passed away on Tuesday aged just 51.

His funeral service was held this morning. George, who owned Charlies SuperSpar, was a renowned businessman who was a fervent support of a range of local charities, sporting events and other projects.

Tributes were read out by daughter, Muzzi, friend, Rob Burns, while the service was led by Pastor Peter Hambidge at Melusi Mission. Afterwards, the family hosted a light lunch for funeral goers at the Greek Orthodox Church in Glencoe where local musician, Lucky Mathamo, paid musical tribute to George.
