Protesters hack pieces out of the R33

Yesterday the Msinga Mayor had a narrow escape

Service delivery protests are intensifying on the R33 between Pomeroy and the Mozana turn off this morning.

Protesters are busy hacking out pieces of tar on the road in the Ward 12 area of Msinga which is Mayor Ngcobo’s ward. The issue is an ongoing matter over lack of water and electricity.

The Mayor narrowly escaped yesterday at a community meeting when the community tried to block her in. Umzinyathi has been contacted to comment on the issue but up until now, none has been received.
