Ladysmith: Human remains found along railway tracks in CBD

A large crowd of onlookers gathered to see the macabre sight

Ladysmith KZN – The body of a 65-year-old man was recently discovered lying next to the railway lines opposite the Klipriver Taxi Association building near the railway bridge. Police and railway officials (Transnet) were on scene.

It is unclear at this stage if the person was hit by a train or not.

Police spokesperson Captain Nyathi confirmed the matter is still being investigated and they are not sure if the body had been dumped there or if the man had been killed along the tracks.
