DUNDEE: Effluent foam greets early morning traffic

Motorists had to dodge the foam bubbles

Large dollops of white foam floating down a stream adjacent to Karel Landman Street greeted motorists travelling in to Dundee this morning.

The effluent was caught up in bushes on both sides of Karel Landman Street, near the SAPS Garage. Some bubbles also spread on to the main road much to the surprise of motorists.

The local Department of Water Affairs was contacted who in turn said they had notified the District Municipality that would implement a clean up operation. It is not clear from where the pollution emanates.

The foam bubbled up in the small stream adjacent to the SAPS garage.
