DUNDEE KZN: SAPS ask public to assist with identifying dead man

A man burnt to death in a separate incident

Dundee SAPS detectives are appealing to the public to assist with the identification of a black male who was found on a street in Sibongile on  February  20 with head injuries.It appears as if he had been assaulted.

He was taken to Dundee hospital where he succumbed to  his injuries. He is about 30 years old,  1.6m tall and  well built.

Anybody who can identify him or has any information regarding the incident that led to the man being assaulted, is asked to please contact Dundee Detective Sergeant Mbatha at 034 2999 700 or the Dundee police station.

.Man burns to death in Craigside

A man burnt to death after his shack in Craigside caught on fire in the early hours of Sunday morning. SAPS have opened an inquest docket. SAPS said it appears as if Lucas Kheswa fell asleep, possibly with a candle left to burn. Neighbours found his shack on fire shortly before sunrise. 

They heard him calling for help but could not take him out of the burning shack. SAPS and the Fire Department were called to the he scene but Mr Kheswa had already succumbed to the injuries he suffered in the fire.
