SAPS get their man

Nearly five months after a gang of five men terrorised an elderly couple and their helper in an Ann Street home, police have arrested a second man linked to the robbery.

Gado Thusi was apprehended by Dundee detectives earlier this month. On October 28 last year, five men entered by getting through the home’s security gate in Ann Street and robbed the elderly couple of a large amount of money. Jewellery was also stolen.

One of the men, Khosikane Sibisi, was arrested on the day of the robbery and denied bail when he appeared in court. The getaway vehicle was recovered in King Edward Street and was also reported stolen. Around R4 000 was recovered, but four of the gang members managed to evade arrest. Thusi appeared in the Dundee Magistrate’s Court on Friday and will appear again next week for a bail application.
