Ladysmith KZN: Residents outraged about overgrown grass in town

Are there dangerous snakes slithering around, ready to strike?

Overgrown grass poses a major problem for many residents in Ladysmith, with people saying it is a contributor to the high crime rate in many areas of town.

In addition, motorists say that the overgrown grass obstructs their view of oncoming traffic and that the situation is an accident waiting to happen.

A resident of Hilliard Oval recently complained to the Ladysmith Gazette about the ‘huge bush’ next to his home and he wonders if there are dangerous snakes slithering around.

The resident fumed that, “We pay our rates and taxes, yet our money isn’t being used for service delivery in this town.”
