ESTCOURT KZN: Widespread water interruptions after electrical hitch at Wagendrift pump station
The affected areas include the industrial area and Wards 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17
Dozens of areas in and around Estcourt will be experiencing water interruptions.
This is due to “electrical problems” at the Wagendrift raw water pump station, says uThukela District Municipality.
The affected areas include the industrial area and Wards 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17.
“We have since appointed the service provider who is busy with the repairs and it is anticipated that by tomorrow (June 2) water supply will be restored. In the meantime water tankers will be dispatched to the affected areas. We apologise for the inconvenience caused,” commented communications manager Jabulani Mkhonza.
