ESTCOURT KZN: Municipality closed after protest action makes it ‘impossible to work’
“There are going to be disruptions as well and we are afraid to use municipal vehicles for the fear of them being torched”
Inkosi Langalibalele Local Municipality is closed today.
This was confirmed by municipal manager Patrick Mkhize.
“As the municipality, we are facing a situation where it is impossible to work, I have therefore allowed the few workers who came to the offices to go home,” said Mr Mkhize.
He added that further precautions are being taken.
“There are going to be disruptions as well and we are afraid to use municipal vehicles for the fear of them being torched,” said Mr Mkhize.
Emergency and essential services are on standby.
