ESTCOURT KZN: Expect further water cuts – says uThukela
"Our area engineer based in Estcourt is now trying to get water tankers that will distribute water to the affected communities in the meantime"

Households in some parts of Forderville should brace themselves for further water cuts.
This is the word from uThukela District Municipality after a number of water pipe bursts around the Forderville area caused water interruptions in some parts.
The district municipality’s communication manager Jabulani Mkhonza said that the cause of the water pipe bursts has been found.
“According to the information from our engineers on site, it is the faulty ‘bermad valve’ that is causing numerous burst pipes around the town. The valve is not regulating anymore. Water cuts are therefore caused by the faulty ‘bermad valve’. The service provider has now ordered a new one; unfortunately the manufacturer said it might take five days for it to be delivered. Our area engineer based in Estcourt is now trying to get water tankers that will distribute water to the affected communities in the meantime,” commented Mr Mkhonza.
This comes after widespread water cuts affected some for more than a week last week, with some relief tricking through on Sunday.
