Ingula Nature Reserve celebrated World Wetlands Day today (February 2).
World Wetlands Day is celebrated each year on February 2.
The Ingula Partnership – which consists of Eskom, BirdLife South Africa and the Middelpunt Wetland – has the common objective of managing the Ingula Pumped Storage Scheme as a sustainable conservation site.
This partnership has started bearing fruit, since the Ingula Nature Reserve has been designated as a RAMSAR site. It is also a wetland of international importance.

As part of celebrating this milestone, Mr Kish Chetty handed over RAMSAR site certificates to Ingula Partnership stakeholders.
