Station Commander to address Sector 3 residents:
March 7 – The Newcastle Community Forum, in conjunction with the Newcastle SAPS Station Commander, Brigadier Leon Matthysen, will host a public meeting for the residents of Sector 3.
This will take place at the Pines Wedding and Conference Village at 19:00.
Sector 3 is made up of the following suburbs:
- Hutten Heights,
- Pioneer Park,
- Aviary Hill,
- Schuinshoogte,
- Signal Hill,
- Sunny Ridge,
- Amiel Park,
- Amajuba Mall,
- Amajuba Park,
- Barry Hertzog Park,
- Rural areas including N11, R34 Memel Bothas Pass and R34 Utrecht.
The aim of the meeting is to discuss the crime in Sector 3, as well as to elect a new sector committee.
Sector 3 CPF Chairman, Johan Pieters said he was looking forward to the meeting, as he believed the outcome was going to be a successful one.
