uThukela water tanker spends 4 years at workshop
The truck was brought in for servicing and no payment was made, say workshop management
uThukela officials, led by Water, Sanitation & Technical Services chairperson Cllr MM Khoza, went in search of a municipal water tanker today (March 3).
The water tanker was found in a panel-beating workshop.
It was established that the tanker has been in the workshop for more than four years!

According to the workshop management, the truck was brought in for servicing and they have not received payment ever since.
Cllr Khoza said that, as the new administration, they are trying by all means possible to resolve water issues in the district.
He said it was for this reason that they have started looking for municipal assets.
