Alleged shoplifter collapses and dies after stealing chocolate

Concerned residents posted on Facebook about an alleged murder at a local grocery store on Saturday. When the Vryheid Herald made enquiries, it was confirmed by police that a young man allegedly stole a chocolate bar from the store and was pursued by the security guard. The young man collapsed and died while fleeing from the guard. Police furthermore confirmed that there were no signs of foul play and that an inquest docket has been opened.
