Police sergeant visits schools with safety tips

The learners are now a lot wiser about issues like bullying, substance abuse and gang fights at school

Sergeant Mbatha from the Ladysmith Social Crime Section visited two local schools recently.

She interacted with the youngsters at Isonto Primary School and spread awareness about gang fights, kidnapping and school safety.

She also visited Hydeswood Primary School, where she dealt with the topics of bullying, substance abuse and vulnerable children.

The learners left school that day a lot wiser for having attentively listened to the presentations given about issues that affect them on a daily basis.
