Substation on fire in Coleus Drive

No injuries were reported

A small electrical substation went up in flames today (June 1) in Coleus Drive.

Shocked residents immediately called Alfred Duma Local Municipality fire-fighters, who rushed to the scene.

A woman who lives behind the substation was afraid that the fire would spread and burn down her home.

Much to the frightened woman’s relief, the fire-fighters were successful in containing the blaze. The fire was extinguished before it could damage any nearby properties.
