Volkies’ Drian invited to IPT Training Camp –
The Mpumalanga Junior Golf Foundation Executive Committee has chosen Drian du Plessis, a Grade 9 learner from Volksrust High School, to attend an IPT Training camp at the National Junior Development Centre (NJDC). The NJDC borders Leopard Creek Estate in Malelane.
The training camp will take place from July 22 to 24 this year.
Various guest speakers will be present throughout the weekend, including a sport psychologist, nutritionist, physical training instructor, and senior provincial players who have previously represented Mpumalanga on the golfing green.
Although this invitation does not imply that Drian has been selected to represent the province at this year’s Under-19 IPT competition, it does indicate that he has been identified as a potential player at this year’s IPT or at future IPT events.
