Pharmacy staff get ‘crazy’ to support awareness campaign
The campaign seeks to spread awareness of the mental strain that health professionals face in their jobs on a daily basis.

Mpati Pharmacy staff recently wore bright and mismatched socks to work, in support of the national #CrazySocks4Docs campaign. The campaign seeks to spread awareness of the mental strain that health professionals face in their jobs on a daily basis. This day is commemorated nationally to shine a light on the highly stressful nature of doctors’ and nurses’ jobs as they strive to remain professional at all times.
Mpati Pharmacy’s Tanya explained that this helps to highlight and encourage conversations about mental health in order to help reduce the stigma attached to doctors, nurses and medical students who fall prey to mental illness.
