Sewer leak damages road and vehicles

Even pedestrians are affected and have to risk walking in the road

A sewer leak on the corner of Watson Road is causing consternation among motorists.

Water has been leaking for the past two days, causing damage to the tarmac.

Motorists are complaining about the current state of affairs, saying it’s a big problem because not only is the leak damaging the road surface but their vehicles as well.

Although the water is running into a drain at the side of the road, a concerned resident commented that pedestrians as well as people living in the neighbourhood are also affected. Pedestrians have to walk in the road to get around the water and this poses a danger of being hit by a passing vehicle.

No workers have arrived to fix the leak as yet.
