Elsie reigns supreme
After a tightly-contested 22 ends, it was Elsie who reigned supreme, beating Rita 21-18 to claim the title.
The Northern Zone Open Singles bowls competition was hosted by Dundee Bowling Club last weekend.
In the ladies’ section, it was Rita, Essie, Elsie and Sylvia who booked their places in the semi-finals, which were played on the Sunday.
Rita and Elsie ended up making it through to the final.
After a tightly-contested 22 ends, it was Elsie who reigned supreme, beating Rita 21-18 to claim the title.
In the men’s section, after the Sunday morning play-offs, it was Greg and Adrian from Newcastle who booked their place in the final.
It was yet another hotly-contested final, but in the end, it was Adrian who lifted the trophy by beating Greg 21-14.
