Swift response to clear road after fierce wind, rain storm

Endumeni was hit by a strong wind and rain storm late yesterday, Tuesday, afternoon

Endumeni’s disaster management team reacted swiftly last night to remove a tree that had fallen into a road in Glencoe during a fierce wind and rain storm.

Resident said the tree came crashing down at around 5.30pm near Glencoe Primary School, blocking the road.

Officials were soon on the scene to clear the road. Saleem Adbool, ward 7 Councillor, thanked the Disaster Management team for their quick response.

‘As the portfolio Chairperson of Corporate and Community Services I wish to Express my heartfelt appreciation to our Disaster team for their swift response last night. May I also thank our residents for their involvement as well .
God bless,” Cllr  Abdool said.
