Nofta celebrates Women’s Day with a fun walk for all ages
People of all ages gathered at the Nofta Hall on Nightingale Street on Friday, August 9, to participate in the Boss Auto Women's Day Fun Walk.
Morris Gajoo, Nofta chairman, warmly welcomed everyone in attendance before thanking their sponsors for ensuring the day went down without any hassles.
He further explained the importance of acknowledging the contributions of all women in the community, in society, and respectively in their homes, adding that the fun walk was organised specifically in their honour.
Everyone had their running shoes laced up as they eagerly took off on the carefully planned out route with marshals and water tables ensuring each participant remained hydrated and energetic enough to complete the course.
