Three people were declared dead on scene and three more suffered serious injuries in a crash involving a car, a bakkie and a taxi on the R103 near Roosboom this afternoon (January 10).

The jaws–of–life were used to rescue those entrapped.

The cause of an accident is unknown at this stage.
