A Tanker has allegedly caught fire after a collision occurred near Dannhauser, prompting warnings for motorists to completely avoid the area. Read more here:

Emergency services are currently on the scene of a serious collision that occurred at around midday (Thursday, July 10) on the N11 near the Dannhauser/Durnacol turn-off.

Motorists are strongly advised to avoid the area, as the tanker was reported to be on fire.

Steel pipes, transported by one of the trucks, were said to be scattered over a wide area.

All emergency services are currently on the scene, and traffic has been affected.

According to a source at the scene, two patients are being treated for moderate injuries.

Details surrounding the collision are not clear at this stage and will be updated as soon as more information becomes available.
