BREAKING: Amajuba District municipal official shot dead

Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the shooting.

The Newcastle Advertiser has just learned that Mthokozisi Ndaba, who worked as an admin Clarke in the Amajuba District Town Planning Department, was shot dead in Arbour Park at around 09:00 this morning (February 14).

According to unconfirmed reports, he was shot twice, fatally wounding him.

Arrests made

It’s believed police have arrested two suspects in connection with the shooting and are currently still searching for more suspects.

Amajuba District spokesperson, Sbonelo Cebekhulu said an official statement will be released after consulting with the family of the deceased.

The Newcastle Advertiser has reached out to Amajuba District SAPS Spokesperson, Constable Nonjabulo Langa for official comment.

However, none was received by the time of publication.
