Wind and rain storm cuts through area on Sunday night

The storm water drains in central Dundee were again choked with litter

Another fierce wind and rain storm cut through Endumeni on Sunday evening, blowing down trees and knocking out power in some areas.

Trees were torn down in both Glencoe and Dundee. There were no immediate reports of flooding but again, the storm water drains in central Dundee were seen on Monday morning to be choked with litter which in turn blocked the drains, causing water to flow onto the roads.

Motorists have again complained about a profusion of potholes in town although some attempts have been made to fill holes on Victoria and McKenzie Streets. The pothole problem has been exacerbated by the heavy rains.
