Talented Thabiso to represent KZN at the national school athletic finals

Thabiso Hadebe of Grade 10 at Ethangeni Combined School, has been selected to represent KwaZulu Natal (KZN) U/18 at the Field and Track Schools Championship in April.
The reserved Thabiso, who was born and raised in Dundee, has loved athletics since a child.
He is also a member of the Biggersberg Athletics Club.
He was selected from among 20 athletes from KZN, four of whom were from the Umzinyathi District, to participate in the championships on April 2 in Pietermaritzburg. The final selection was done in March following the district-wide local schools and district selections that took place in February.
“Thabiso joined the school’s athletics team two years ago and he is a real fanatic about sports, especially cross-country running,” his coach and schoolteacher Sandile Zwane exclaimed with pride.
He also added that because Thabiso comes from an impoverished background, he needs a sponsor.
“Thabiso requires track and field gear to help him reach his full potential in the proper running clothing,” Zwane explained.
He urged readers to assist Thabiso by acting as a stepping stone on his journey to becoming the best sportsman possible.
Thabiso explained that even though he has less time to prepare for the upcoming championships now that first-term exams are ongoing, he still finds time to train.
“Due to exams, I have to alternate between studying and training.
However, I also need a sports watch so that I can monitor my progress with each training and during the competitions.”
Thabiso concluded by thanking his family, friends, and coach who are a wonderful support system for him, and that he will not let them down.
Coach Zwane ended by wishing Thabiso luck in the competition and making a plea to the local business community in Endumeni to support Thabiso and consider sponsoring him as a young, promising athlete who has already distinguished himself as the best among his contemporaries.
