Extended power outages impact on Endumeni businesses/households
The extended power failures have led to losses for many already fragile businesses.
Endumeni has been battling with extended power outages. On Wednesday, an Eskom fault led to Dundee being without power for most of the afternoon.
By Thursday the power had still not been restored to the Avon industrial area due to faults at several substations.
Business people said the outage had impacted on their day’s trading with many having to turn customers away.
In upper Glencoe, Cllr Saleem Abdool reported that a veld fire near Burnside Road had affected the power supply over a wide area. He hoped that repairs would be done today, Friday.
