Four suspects arrested in Dundee as cops hunt for drugs and illegal firearms

Dundee SAp are working hard to eradicate the scourge of drugs in the town.

Hard drugs (including cocaine) and a firearm were seized and four men were arrested after police raided four locations in Sibongile in the early hours of last Wednesday morning.
Umzinyathi SAPS spokesperson Constable Siyabonga Nkwanyana said the intelligence-driven operation involved the Newcastle Public Order Policing Unit.
Upon arriving at the first target, officers arrested a man found with 10 small bags of crystal meth. The operation proceeded to the next target, where a man was arrested after being found with nine small bags of crystal meth.
At the next target, an unlicensed firearm (.38 Special) was seized, along with 46 plastic bags of crystal meth.
A suspect was apprehended.
At the next target, the officers found one toy gun, 12 mandrax tablets and three small bags of cocaine. A man was arrested.
Those arrested, aged between 27 and 44, have appeared in the Dundee Magistrate’s Court.
